Summer Learning Journey Christmas card

This week with the SLJ I decided to do a Christmas card but because Christmas is already over I changed it a birthday card for my friend Chloe. I folded paper and taped it in the middle of the card so it would pop out and look 3D. The videos had lots of fun ideas and I want to try out some others when I have time. What do you think of my card?

  1. Kia ora Indiana,

Great work with your birthday card! It is very special and creative, I am sure your friend will love it. I think it's awesome! Does the front have an image on it?

Did you enjoy making the card? Was it tricky to create the 3D bit in the middle? It looks like there are a lot of little details to pay attention to.

Did you know any fun facts about birthday cards or the history of birthday cards? I know people first started giving birthday cards hundreds and hundreds of years ago. I wonder what they looked like back then?

I hope you and your whanau have a wonderful summer. Keep up the awesome and creative mahi.

    Ngā mihi,
    Lauren
